Andrew Taylor transferring; 5 landing spots for elite scorer
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (BVM) – Andrew Taylor has crafted himself into one of the top scorers in college basketball over the past four years and it was by no means an easy task. As a three-star prospect out of Corbin High School in Corbin, Kentucky, Taylor had all from mid-majors, despite the fact that he was the third-highest scorer in Kentucky High School Athletic Association history when he left the program in 2019.
Instead of going to a Power 5 school, Taylor joined the program at Furman before transferring to Marshall following his freshman year where he rose to prominence. A starter each of the past four seasons, Taylor’s best campaign came this past season when he finished averaging 20.2 points, good for 24th in D-I, 4.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 41.7% from the field and 36.4% from 3-point territory.
On Monday, Taylor entered his name into the transfer portal. With one year of eligibility remaining, the dangerous scorer could make an impact for any Power 5 team in need of offensive assistance. Here are five potential destinations for the guard.
