3. Maddie Penta, Auburn
The junior ace has done all she can to carry the load for the Tigers鈥� pitching staff over the past two seasons, after practically reaching the 200 innings mark in 2022. With 170 total innings currently, Penta is once again on her way to a similar number. Penta鈥檚 ability to stay in games has continued into this year but an improvement on her all-around pitching effort has come to the forefront. The Auburn star has lowered her 1.76 ERA from a season ago to 1.03 this year and has held opposing hitters to just a .152 batting average in 2023. Finding ways to improve in her junior season, Penta seems primed to continue her efforts in the circle moving forward.
