Jewel Spear enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots

NC State recruited Spear when she was in high school and was in the running for the talented scorer from Texas. Spear, of course, chose a different school in North Carolina but now the Wolfpack have a second chance to recruit her. NC State lost Johnson as well as Camille Hobby and Jakia-Brown Turner to the transfer portal at the end of the season, meaning there are some scholarships available. NC State has successfully used the portal before to add much needed talent and with Johnson leaving, the Wolfpack need some help in the back court. Bringing Spear to Raleigh, North Carolina would be a good offensive replacement for Johnson, who was the team鈥檚 leading scorer. With Spear running the show, the Wolfpack could build off of their 20-12 record this past season.聽
