Devan Cambridge enters transfer portal; Top 5 landing spots
1. Vanderbilt
This option may seem a bit out of left field, but not when taking a closer look at the details. It has been clear throughout his college career that Devan is family-oriented having played his last season at Arizona State alongside his brother Desmond. Having grown up in Nashville, Devan has a lot of family in the area but it goes even deeper than that.
Devan鈥檚 sister, Jordyn, plays for the Vanderbilt women鈥檚 basketball team and has since 2018. His other sister, Kennedy, just entered the transfer portal after her first season at Kentucky. The family鈥檚 youngest daughter, Jaloni, is set to graduate in 2024 following her last season at the Ensworth School in Nashville. It would make sense for Devan to want to return home not only because the Commodores need a guard, as they鈥檝e had six players already enter the portal, but because his family is there and still making waves in the community.
Perhaps both he and Kennedy will join Jordyn at Vandy as transfers and the three siblings could watch Jaloni make her collegiate decision together. That idea may be too sweet of one for a family-first player like Devan to pass up.
