While it may be easy to assume that Mark Few and the Bulldogs have the upper hand in the Ryan Nembhard sweepstakes because of familial ties, keep in mind that Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd helped recruit Andrew to Gonzaga. With Kerr Kriisa — who led the Pac-12 in assists (5.1) to go along with 9.9 points per game this past season — leaving the program for West Virginia, Lloyd might lean on his connection with the Nembhard family to land Ryan. The Wildcats were the No. 2 seed in the 2023 NCAA Tournament but were upset in the opening round by No. 15-seeded Princeton. The program can quickly get that bad taste out of its mouth by selling Ryan on Tucson, Arizona.
