Top 10 New Jersey HS baseball players in Class of 2023
7. Duke McCarron, RHP, Ocean City
McCarron proved to be a tough test for opposing hitters as the 6-foot-1 righthander struck out 53 batters in 50 innings pitched. That story continued into the playoffs as McCarron dominated the first round of the NJSIAA Tournament where he pitched seven innings, allowing just one run with seven strikeouts. Setting down Absegami in the playoff stage was just another notch in the belt for the Ocean City star who has high aspirations in 2022. Behind a 1.96 ERA as a junior, McCarron will be ready to showcase his always improving ability on the mound before going off to Maryland.
