Jamarion Sharp transferring: 5 possible landing spots聽
2. Kentucky
This shouldn鈥檛 come as a surprise. Given Sharp being a native of the state, it is likely that he has always had hoop dreams of playing for the Wildcats in Lexington. Fortunately for him, now could be a perfect time.
Kentucky is no stranger to using the portal to get bigs with solid tools, just look at Oscar Tshiebwe whom the team got from West Virginia a few years ago. Now with Tshiebwe looking to make the leap to the NBA, the Wildcats are in need of another center.
Sharp would give the team immediate starter experience in the frontcourt while also adding an intimidating interior presence. The only issue is how much Kentucky head coach John Calipari wants to get his younger players time on the court as they have five-star 7-footer Aaron Bradshaw coming in as part of the 2023 recruiting class and may want him to get going early. Still, the idea of Sharp in the Wildcats’ blue has to be alluring to both parties.
