Sahvir Wheeler enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots

Could Wheeler look to join yet another SEC team? If he does, there鈥檚 a chance he could join the Vols. Ultimately, the 5-foot-9 point guard will be looking for a spot where he can win now, and Tennessee might offer one of the best chances he has if he stays within the conference. Joining Tennessee could hinge on what senior guard Santiago Vescovi does, but even if he stays, Wheeler could slot in as the team鈥檚 point guard, allowing the sharp-shooting Vescovi to play more off the ball. It鈥檚 also likely that Zakai Zeigler will miss a portion of next season after suffering an ACL injury so late in the year, so Wheeler could be a nice one-year option to run the offense as Zeigler gets back to full health. Rick Barnes has a history of producing strong guard play, and Wheeler could be a nice fit with the veteran coach.
