How each head coach made it to 2023 men鈥檚 NCAA Final Four
Dusty May, Florida Atlantic
As Bob Knight finished out his tenure at Indiana, May got a front-row seat. A graduate of the class of 2000, May served as a student manager during his time in Bloomington. In 2005, he got his first gig as a full-time assistant coach at Eastern Michigan, then getting his first head coaching opportunity with the Owls in 2018.
May turned a program that had not had a winning season since 2010-11 into of the very best at the mid-major level. While his team may not have had the national spotlight until their Final Four run, FAU had a terrific season going 35-3. He hoists a career 101-59 record throughout his five years in Boca Raton. In terms of up-and-coming coaches, there may not be one more coveted than the 46-year-old.聽
