5 highest combined seeds to make men鈥檚 basketball Final Four

Even with the incredibly diverse grouping this year鈥檚 Final Four contains, it is still three combined seed lines away from even tying the 2011 group for the highest combined total ever. During that year鈥檚 event, the four teams consisted of 11-seed Virginia Commonwealth (the first First Four team to Final Four team ever), 8-seed Butler, 4-seed Kentucky and 3-seed UConn.
While this Final Four is historically the most varied group ever, it was the highest seed that once again came out victorious as UConn bested Butler 53-41 in the championship. The Huskies will look to repeat that trend this season as the best remaining seed looks to win another national title over a trio vying for their first titles ever.
