9. Kirk Muller, LW (1984-91)
Muller was the second overall pick by New Jersey in 1984 and in his first season, he played in 80 games, racking up 54 points (17 goals and 37 assists). In the next three seasons, Muller helped the team to its first winning season in franchise history and was also the team’s captain. He also helped lead the team to the East Conference final in 1988, where it fell to the Boston Bruins.
Muller was traded to the Canadiens following a contract dispute, but he still holds the franchise record for most points in a single game (six). Muller stayed in the NHL and is currently coaching for the Calgary Flames.聽
