2023 March Madness 10 best players by region: East
2. Tyler Kolek, Marquette, G
Marquette has been one of the biggest surprises of the season after locking down a two-seed in the NCAA Tournament. While many have pointed to head coach Shaka Smart, much of the team’s success can be traced back to the Bob Cousy award finalist. Kolek has been impressive following his opening campaign with the Golden Eagles, taking his points per game from 6.7 last year, to 13.3 this season. With over seven assists a game, Kolek has helped transform Marquette into one of early picks for a deep March run. After just earning the Big East Tournament MVP, the 6-foot-3 guard should be primed for another impressive showing in the upcoming action.
