The BYU Cougars are another team steeped in tradition, having gone to the NCAA Tournament 30 times in their history. However, the program has had trouble ever establishing itself as a national championship threat.
Over its 30 bids, BYU has only ever made it to the Elite Eight, doing so three times and have not been to that round since 1981. While the Cougars have a strong history on their side, fans will have to wait to see if their team can make history as they did not receive a bid this season.
