No. 5 San Diego State vs. No. 12 Charleston听
San Diego State was dominant in Mountain West play this season and boasted a deep bench. Matt Bradley is one of the best shooters in the country (43% from three during conference play this year). However, the Mountain West has been abysmal in the tournament, going 2-12 since 2016. The Aztecs can definitely beat Charleston, but can they beat the narrative that the Mountain West doesn鈥檛 win in March Madness?听
Charleston plays fast and it shoots from behind the three point line a lot. It hasn鈥檛 always worked in the Cougars鈥� favor (they鈥檙e only shooting 33% from three this season) but it did win them the CAA Tournament. If they can get hot against SDSU, the Cougars have a chance but the Aztecs play good defense and can shoot the ball, too.
