It has not been the greatest season for Phillips, but the freshman has shown flashes during his time in Knoxville. He possesses all the tools to become a reliable starter in the NBA. He has great athleticism and length that allows him to be very versatile on the defensive end. Offensively, there were questions about his jump shot entering the season and he has not changed many opinions, shooting 26% from 3.
He should be a lock to be selected, but Phillips ultimately may decide to return for his sophomore year to increase his stock.
