3. Blake Dickerson, P, Ocean Lakes
Dickerson is not only one of the best high school pitchers in Virginia, but in the entire country, The 6-foot-6, 210-pound southpaw is the unanimous No. 3 prospect in the Commonwealth by both PBR and Perfect Game.
Last season, Dickerson proved his ranking with a 1.90 ERA and 90 strikeouts for the Dolphins on his way to VHSL Class 6A second-team all-state honors. Not only did Dickerson perform well on a state level, but he was also selected to the 2022 U18 USA Baseball national team where he posted a 5.83 ERA with seven strikeouts, four walks and five earned runs in six innings over two starts.
While Dickerson is committed to play with the in-state Virginia Tech Hokies, he may not make his way to Blacksburg because he is ranked among the top-100 players in the MLB draft pool, being listed as the No. 78 prospect by Given his status as a top MLB prospect, Dickerson will be a name to watch this spring.
