Top 10 Canadian HS baseball players in Class of 2023
4. Reece Usselman, LHP, Langley Blaze
Usselman has been a standout lefty for both the Blaze and the Canadian junior team. The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder got two starts for Canada at the 18U World Cup in 2022 and proved to give his team quality starts in each game. He finished the tournament with 11 and two-thirds innings pitched with a 1.80 earned run average, scattering three runs and four walks while striking out 11 and not allowing a single extra-base hit. He’ll be heading to the University of Oregon where the Ducks will look for another arm that can provide quality starts.
‘23 LHP Reece Usselman () with an impressive outing on the mound today.
Throws any pitch in any count, nothings straight. Filled up the zone and lived on the edges/down in the zone. Inducing a ton of soft contact.
