Top 10 Connecticut HS baseball players in Class of 2023
2. Chandler Coe, RHP/IF, Loomis Chaffee
A player who can do it all in both football and baseball, Coe has what it takes to go far in his baseball career. His 95 mph fastball earns him third-best pitcher in Connecticut and 80th in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-5, 245 pounds, Coe will be quite the asset to both his high school team — Baseball America’s No. 1-ranked team in the Northeast Region — and to Texas Tech when he starts in the fall. Coe also has the prospect of going professional in the near future. In 2002, he went 5-0 with an ERA of 1.09. In 32 innings, he allowed just nine hits and struck out 56 batters.Â
