9. Seth Benes, RHP, Liberty (Wentzville)
Benes鈥 primary position may be at pitcher, but the 6-foot-3, 200-pound standout is also tremendous at the plate. Last season, Benes batted .370 with two home runs and 26 RBIs on 34 total hits. That followed a sophomore season in which he also hit for a strong .324 average. Meanwhile, Benes took a big step forward on the mound in 2022, compiling a 1.79 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP while striking out 80 batters 鈥 a single-season record at Liberty (Wentzville). Over the summer, Benes played for the St. Louis Prospects, was invited to the Midwest Scouts Association Game at Kauffman Stadium, and committed to Indiana, where he seems poised for big things with the Hoosiers.
