The talented shortstop is committed to Auburn, where he could follow in the footsteps of his older brother, Brady – a former Ohio State commit currently playing at Belmont Abbey College – as a collegiate player. However, there is also a chance Colt goes straight to the pros as he is ranked as a . No matter what his future holds, Emerson will look to finish his high school career off strong this spring at John Glenn. As a junior, the 6-foot-1 shortstop was an all-state player in both football and baseball, and hit for a .459 average on the diamond. In addition to playing with Team Elite Baseball, Emerson also showcased his talent with USA Baseball last year, as he hit .360 with a 1.035 OPS while scoring 11 runs across nine games.
