Top 10 California high school baseball players in Class of 2023
1. Roman Martin, SS, Servite
Martin is the best high school baseball player in the state of California and a Preseason MaxPreps All-American. The Trinity League co-MVP batted .422 as a junior after being selected to the USA Baseball 18U National Team last fall. At 6-foot-2, 170 pounds, Martin is a primary shortstop with the acrobatic defensive skills and arm talent to make every play. He鈥檒l join Randall to make up UCLA鈥檚 No. 3-ranked 2023 recruiting class and Savage has high praise for one of the country鈥檚 top prospects: 鈥淩oman is one of the elite shortstops in his class coming out of high school. He has all the tools you are looking for on both sides of the baseball.鈥
