Centerville boys lacrosse prepares for ambitious lacrosse season
DAYTON, Ohio — Centerville High School (CHS) is embarking on the most ambitious lacrosse schedule in program history. We face the reigning Division I and Division II state champions early in the season. Our team will be ready to face these challenges as great opportunities to develop and prepare for the playoffs. Losing in the first round of the playoffs last season will fuel many of our returning players this season.
We are led by a group of phenomenal young men: seniors Adam Bersagilini and Connor Krause, as well as juniors Seth Alejandrino and Eli Harless. As captains, they have committed to investing in their teammates during the off season and imparting their wisdom along the way. I look forward to seeing what they accomplish, with so much on the line this season.
We are excited to display a new digital scoreboard this season at Legacy Field, home of Centerville lacrosse.
We have four core beliefs on the boys鈥 program: F.A.M.I.L.Y., Academics, Leadership, Service. F.A.M.I.L.Y. is an acronym for 鈥淔orget about me, I love you,鈥 which suggests that the teammates around you are more valuable than yourself on the field. Each play and effort is directed toward the betterment of the team and its mission to 鈥減ursue excellence with each opportunity.鈥 To support player growth, we break junior varsity (JV) and varsity teams into cohesive, smaller units called boat crews; this fosters discipleship among all players.
It is my honor to watch and guide young men to commit themselves to a common cause: understanding the cost and reward of making sacrifices for something bigger than themselves. I enjoy the conversations that expand the lessons of the game beyond the field and into real life.
