UW-Eau Claire track and field opens season at Alumni Open
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire men’s and women’s track and field teams opened their 2023 season at home for their annual Alumni Open. This was the first Alumni open since 2020, with the COVID-19 pandemic causing cancellations in 2021 and 2022.
While not a meet that counts towards qualifying marks for the conference or national meet, there were still several impressive performances, including junior Hannah Zastrow’s facility record in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 8.25 seconds.
