Crown Point girls basketball builds momentum towards postseason
CROWN POINTS, Ind. — Crown Point Lady Bulldogs Basketball may not be living up to their usual lofty standards in the 2022-23 season, but one player is having a breakthrough season for a team that still has solid momentum heading towards the IHS basketball tournament.
Junior forward Ava Ziolkowski averages 17.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game. She continues the history of Bulldog players who have a strong two-way game. Ziolkowski emerged as team leader in December and has been featured by media throughout the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area.
With a 14-8 overall record at press time playing in a rugged Duneland Conference, the Crown Point squad should be battle-tested and ready for their sectional playoff challenges at the end of February.
