College football鈥檚 winners and losers of transfer portal
1. Florida State
While some college programs have opted for the splashier recruits in the portal, Florida State has quietly obtained one of the more impressive incoming groups from the transfer window. With the unexpected announcement that star pass rusher Jared Verse would return to school, the Seminoles have only continued to add to one of the team鈥檚 bigger strengths with key additions up and down the defensive line. Western Michigan transfer Braden Fiske and South Carolina鈥檚 Gilber Edmond have the chance to become integral pieces of the growing defensive front, while the addition of Virginia cornerback transfer Ferrell Cypress will shore up the team鈥檚 backend. With quarterback Jordan Travis looking to take an even bigger step next season, Florida State as a whole is looking like they have the chance to follow suit.
