6. J.J. McCarthy, Michigan

McCarthy led the Wolverines back to the CFP a year after taking over for Cade McNamara but fell short to TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.

He finished the 2022-23 season with 2,719 passing yards, 27 TDs, and a passer rating of 155. He also helped the team win its second consecutive Big Ten title.聽
