What are your personal goals and athletic dreams with football?
Zaydin Ezell: I just want a scholarship that pays for most of my college tuition. Athletically, I just want to Improve myself and help others improve every day.
What is your biggest challenge in football, and what do you do to manage this challenge?
Ezell: My biggest challenge is being small for my position. I don鈥檛 do anything different from anyone else I just do what I am taught to and play with heart.
What鈥檚 the best advice you have been given?
Ezell: The best advice I have received is to put in everything you鈥檝e got.
What do you love about the game?
Ezell: I love that my teammates are a second family to me, we struggle together, we lose together and we win together. It鈥檚 a feeling of brotherhood I haven鈥檛 found anywhere, but my own family.
What has being a member of a team taught you?
Ezell: It has taught me that no matter how different people are you can always find some way to connect with them.
What is the best piece of advice you received from a coach or mentor?
Ezell: The best advice that a coach has given me is to just play the game, if you mess up don鈥檛 get down on yourself and fix it on the next play.
Tell us about the invitational in California; What is the name of this invitational, how do you get invited?
Ezell: The invitational in California was called 鈥淒ream All American鈥� you have to be nominated to go. I was nominated because of previous appearances at Dream showcases.
What was your biggest takeaway from 鈥淒ream All American鈥� experience?
Ezell: My biggest takeaway was that you will never be the biggest or the best on the field, but that鈥檚 not what matters. If you aren鈥檛 coachable, you won鈥檛 get anywhere in football.
Were there any other Ellensburg athletes/teammates who also attended 鈥淒ream All American鈥�?
Ezell: I was one of the few from Washington to be invited.
What do you like to do outside of your sport?
Ezell: I don鈥檛 do anything special; I hang out with friends and play video games like most other people my age.
