Colts Neck D12 cheerleading team crush in national competition
COLTS NECK, N.J. — The Colts Neck Cougars D12 Cheerleading team swept every competition this season with the highest honors. It began with the Jersey Shore competition in October at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton where they took home First place and the award for Best Dance Routine. The top five teams then went on to The Big East Competition in November where they continued to shine, coming in First place and taking home the title of Grand Champions. Here they achieved the highest score of the day out of all 153 teams that competed.
The top three teams in their division then moved onto Nationals in Orlando, Florida this past December.聽 Here they crushed it again, competing against teams from all over the country, taking home First place and the title of Grand Champions at the National level.聽 This group of 21 athletes ranging in ages from 8 to 13 worked their hearts out all season, supported each other on and off the mat and their efforts truly paid off. To say this was an achievement for our small town is an understatement. Congratulations to the Colts Neck Cougars and their Coaches!
