Bulllitt Central Wrestling off to great start to season
SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. — Bullitt Central Cougar Wrestling is having a great season. Dupont Manual and Bethlehem High School both fell to Bullitt Central Cougar Wrestling at a Duel. Some of our newest wrestlers enjoyed their first Varsity win.
For the 1st time in program history, Bullitt Central Cougar Wrestling secured the 2022 Championship Bullitt Cup. Victories over North Bullitt, Ballard, and Bullitt East led to the historic title win. The Cougar Wrestling program is pounding the competition this season, having placed 1st or 2nd in EVERY tournament so far. The team travels to Lafayette High School soon and will compete as Individuals. We will see how each wrestler matches up against others across the state in 16-man double-elimination brackets. The Lady Cougar Wrestlers will travel to Henderson High School on Tuesday to compete in a female-only tournament. Sophia Walls has already placed 1st in one female tournament, and Emily Hendricks from Bullitt East Lady Chargers placed 3rd in the same tournament in her weight bracket.
