Nicolet announces 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees
GLENDALE, Wis. — Nicolet High School is proud to announce that three candidates have been selected to the Class of 2022 Nicolet High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The candidates include three athletes: William Trosper (Class of 鈥69-Football/Track), Tom Haig (Class of 鈥80-Diving) and Molly Kanter (Class of ’87-Swimming).
William Trosper is聽a聽State Track Champion who still appears on the school’s all-time record board and also earned three varsity football letters. Tom Haig is the most accomplished diver in school history and also still appears on the swim team’s all-time top 5 record board 42 years after graduation. Molly聽Kanter is one of the most decorated swimmers in the school’s history with multiple conference and state championships.
The Nicolet Athletic聽Hall聽of聽Fame聽honors former student athletes, coaches and other individuals who have contributed outstanding accomplishments towards Nicolet High School athletics.聽 The candidates who make up the class of 2022 were honored at the halftime of the Nicolet Boys Varsity Basketball game on January 6th. There was also a聽dinner in the Knights聽Hall聽at Nicolet High School followed by the induction ceremony, halftime recognition and unveiling of the plaques on the 鈥淲all of聽Fame鈥.
A聽Hall聽of聽Fame聽Committee composed of Nicolet Athletic Staff, Coaches and Alumni, voted in these three candidates from聽a聽pool of more than 50 nominees.聽 All inductees are chosen following聽a聽formal nomination process available to the community and on the Nicolet Website.
