The 6-foot-1 guard is in the midst of his opening season at Link Academy in Branson, Missouri, after starring the past two seasons in his hometown back in New Jersey. Although Cadeau was limited during his time at Bergen Catholic due to an ankle injury, the Link Academy star has dominated during the early portion of the Lions鈥 schedule, currently slotting in as the team鈥檚 early .
This past summer, Cadeau shined on the national stage during his time playing with the Swedish U18 National Team. An impressive MVP performance during the final of the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B helped Cadeau, a dual-citizen of the country, propel his Swedish team to a Gold Medal. The return back to the court was a long time coming for the top-rated guard who talked about what it meant to be healthy following his sophomore season back in June.
鈥淚t was hard because it was like a really rare injury and it was really tough to watch all my friends go out there and I was on the bench,鈥 Cadeau said back in June of what his sophomore year was like from the sidelines. 鈥淚鈥檓 [back to] doing what I love. I鈥檝e just been playing as much as I can.鈥
Elliot Cadeau brings home gold for Sweden with a dominant MVP performance in the Final of the FIBA U18 European Championship Division B. Got anywhere he wanted on the floor all game, showing exceptional speed, physicality and aggressiveness. Finished with 36 points on 15 FGAs.

With an initial list of finalists that included Kansas, Syracuse, Texas, Louisville, and Texas Tech, Cadeau decided to join coach Hubert Davis and his staff. While Cadeau grew up a Texas Tech fan, and the Red Raiders program was considered one of the true contenders to land him, the chance to join on with the Tar Heels proved to be an opportunity he wasn鈥檛 willing to pass up.聽
Cadeau is hoping he can take the momentum from this current season into the future as he currently operates with another prep season still in his plans. Regardless of his reclassification status, the Tar Heels just landed what will be one of the biggest chips of the 2024 class.
