College basketball鈥檚 top 10 freshmen so far in 2022-23 season
5. Anthony Black, G, Arkansas
Eric Musselman鈥檚 Razorbacks made a tremendous run all the way to the Elite Eight last year, and they are off to a strong start again this season at 11-1 and ranked No. 10 in the country. A big reason why is the play of their freshman guard, Black, who is averaging nearly 13 points on a relatively efficient 52% shooting from the field, also contributing around five rebounds and four assists per contest. Arguably, Black鈥檚 best games came back-to-back at the Maui Invitational as he put up 26 points in two consecutive contests versus Louisville and Creighton. If he can continue his efficient play, Arkansas may just be able to make a Final Four run this March.
