College basketball鈥檚 top 10 freshmen so far in 2022-23 season
7. Jett Howard, F, Michigan
At 7-4, Michigan hasn鈥檛 quite gotten off to the start that some expected this season when they were ranked early in the year. However, they have seen continued good play from big man Hunter Dickinson and guard Kobe Bufkin, and Howard has added to that mix early in his Wolverines career. So far this season, the 6-foot-8 forward is averaging 15.6 points per game while shooting around 50% from the field. The son of head coach Juwan Howard has particularly come on recently, scoring 12 points or more in Michigan鈥檚 last nine contests, some of which have come against quality opponents in Kentucky, North Carolina and Virginia. Although the Big Ten is proving to have a strong freshman class, Howard may just be the best of the bunch.
Jett Howard was dialed in for opening night.
