What are your personal goals within your sports/athletic dreams?
Tate Whittaker: To go to college and play lacrosse.
What is your biggest challenge in your sport, and what do you do to manage this challenge?
Whittaker: My size.聽 I try to use the advantages of my size.
What was the best advice you were ever given?
Whittaker: Put in 110% of your effort all the time, and always fail at 100%.
What do you love about your sport?
Whittaker: How fast it is played, and how it originated.
Do you have a pregame ritual you follow?
Whittaker: No. I just get out there & play!
What do you like to do outside of your sport?
Whittaker: Hangout with my friends.
What has being a member of a team taught you?
Whittaker: Trust your teammates and always respect your coaches.
What is the best advice you received from a coach or mentor?
Whittaker: If you want to be good at something, you have to make sacrifices and put in a lot of hard work and practice.
Describe a mistake you made while competing and how you overcame it.
Whittaker: I made a bad pass to one of my teammates, and the other team got the ball, so I kept my head up and played defense, and we got the ball back.
Has your team won any awards or reached any accomplishments that you would like to highlight?
Whittaker: My travel team, Richmond Hawks 2026 AA has won many tournaments. I鈥檓 looking forward to playing on my high school team this year. Last year, as an 8th grader, I was able to play on the Hanover High team.
