Susquehannock XC runners medal at PIAA District 3 Championships
GLEN ROCK, Pa. — The cross-country stars of Susquehannock continue to impress!聽 Nicole Dauberman and Matt O’Brien, District 3 runners at Susquehannock, have both medaled at the PIAA District 3 Championships.
Dauberman took gold in the Class 2A race, a full 31 seconds in front of the next runner.聽 Dauberman attributed her gain on her opponents to running regularly on local hills, which allowed her to pull ahead nearly 2 miles into her run.
O’Brien also finished gold in the boys’ Class 3A race, holding off the runner from Central Dauphin by a mere one-and-a-half seconds. Matt mentioned that both the boys’ and girls’ teams train together and are very supportive of each other, which could be seen at the championships.
Nicole and Matt are happy to finish their Warrior careers in such a fashion, and we wish them best the rest of their high school days and beyond!
