Valparaiso football wins 2022 IHSAA Class 5A Championship
VALPARAISO, Ind. — The Valparaiso Vikings High School Football Team won the Class 5A State Championship Game against the Whiteland Warriors 35-31 in an exciting comeback played at Indianapolis鈥� Lucas Oil Stadium on November 29. Valpo fell behind 10-0 in the first quarter, but soon rallied and came back in a riveting battle that saw seven lead changes, with Valpo clinching the championship when QB Justin Clark connected an 11-yard touchdown pass to Rocco Micciche with only 19 seconds left in the game. The Vikings are always competitive in their division, but this is the first time in 47 years that they have brought home the state championship. Congratulations Vikings!!
