- Milt Schmidt, C (1936-42, 1945-55)
Schmidt helped the Bruins win two of their first three Stanley Cups (1939 and 1941). He鈥檇 take a break from playing in the NHL after World War II broke out. He鈥檇 rejoin the Bruins, and his impact was felt immediately. In 1951, he was awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy, which recognizes the most valuable player in the NHL.
Schmidt retired in 1955, and the former four-time All-Star has entered the Hockey Hall of Fame. His No. 15 is retired by the franchise too. Schmidt was named one of the in 2017.聽
