Top 10 Timberwolves players of all time
4. Sam Cassell, G
The Kevin Garnett-led Timberwolves were unable to surpass the first round of the NBA playoffs until Cassell came to town. The 15-year NBA veteran helped the Houston Rockets win back-to-back NBA Finals (1994-95) and would make a similarly huge impact in Minnesota nearly a decade later. As a 34-year-old point guard, Cassell averaged 19.8 points and 7.3 assists as the Timberwolves made it all the way to the Western Conference Finals for the first and only time in franchise history. He was named an All-Star, to the All-NBA second team and had one of the best seasons of a Timberwolf ever.
