Satellite HS cross country team competes at state meet
SATELLITE BEACH, Fla. — On Saturday November 5th, the Satellite High boys and girls cross country teams competed in the State Cross Country meet.
The boys entered the meet as the district champs and region runner-ups. The girls ran first and competed very well. They have moved up in the 3A division this year and it is much more competitive than the 2A class. The girls came home in 10th place and were led by Sophomore Mackenzie Thompson 19:47, Braelyn Wahy聽 20:09, Reagon Cancro 20:15 , Sierra Markle聽 20:19 and Nia Singleton聽 21:20. The boys ran very well and kept their 8 year streak of top 7 finishes alive with a 6th place team finish. They were led by Senior Andrew Mahorner 16:26, Carson Waggoner 16:52 , Logan Carr 17:02, Alex Butler 17:31, and Kian Wilson 17:46.聽
