Crown Point volleyball coach Alison Duncan elected to Indiana Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame
CROWN POINT, Ind. — On November 4th, Alison Duncan added her name to the Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. The coaches association surprised her on November 4th with a Hall of Fame Induction, making her the first region coach to ever be inducted.
Coach Duncan just finished her 13th year as the Head Volleyball Coach at Crown Point High School. She also serves on the IHSVCA executive board as the regional representative for the North and organizes the State Finals Banquet. She took over the volleyball program in 2010.
In 2013, Crown Point won its first volleyball sectional title in 21 years. In 2016 and 2017, her teams won conference titles for the first time in school history. Since then, Crown Point has gone on to win four DAC titles, eight Sectional Titles, four Regional Titles, two Semi-State titles, and two 4A State Runner-up titles.
Duncan has coached 43 Bulldogs players that have gone on to play college volleyball. She has been honored with DAC Conference Coach of the Year, 4A North Coach of the Year, and 4A State Coach of the Year, and is now a member of the Indiana Volleyball Coaches Hall of Fame.
Coach Duncan credits a huge part of her program鈥檚 success as a result of free volleyball programming at the middle school level. Free Friday programming will begin in January and run up until Spring Break. Middle School athletes are also welcome to attend beginner-level weight room activities and volleyball open gym in the spring and summer months.
