Top 10 Minnesota boys basketball players in Class of 2023
9. Alex Mattes, G, East Ridge High School
East Ridge went 23-6 last season, making it to the Section 4AAAA championship before losing by one to Cretin-Derham Hall for the chance to make it to state. The Raptors lost Kendall Blue to graduation but the team鈥檚 second–leading scorer, Alex Mattes, is returning. Mattes averaged 15.1 points last year and will look to lead East Ridge back to the playoffs. The 6-foot-4 guard is a natural scorer who can shoot from outside or score at the rim. He is committed to the University of Mary and will be a key contributor to the Raptors this season.聽
