4. Macaleab Rich, SF, East St. Louis
East St. Louis often garners headlines for its football success, but Rich is proving the school produces some pretty good basketball talent as well. In September, Rich committed to play in college at Kansas State, one of two players on this list who will suit up for the Wildcats next season. But first, the 6-foot-7, 225-pound forward will put a cap on what has been a strong career for the Flyers. Last season as a junior, Rich averaged 19.2 points and 10.9 rebounds while shooting 55% from the field. The strong-bodied, athletic forward who boasts a 40-plus inch vertical was a Class 3A all-state selection in 2021-22 as he helped East St. Louis to a 27-6 season.
