Top 5 California girls basketball players in Class of 2023
3. Jada Williams, PG, La Jolla Country Day School
Believed to be the first high school girls basketball player to sign an NIL deal, Williams is already a superstar who has appeared in a Spalding ad with Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard. On the court, she helped Team USA to a gold medal and 7-0 record at the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary. After transferring from Blue Springs High School (MO) to La Jolla Country Day for her junior year, she averaged 11.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 4.1 assists for the Torreys (25-3). The five-star prospect was nearly teammates with Muse at the next level after committing to UCLA as a sophomore, but Williams flipped to head coach Adia Barnes and the Arizona Wildcats.
