Martin County HS girls soccer team sets the tone in preseason game
STUART, Fla. — There’s probably nothing better for a team’s momentum than to start off the preseason with a dominating win. That’s exactly what the Martin County Girls Varsity Soccer team did when they played Jensen Beach in a preseason home game on November 1st.Ìý
With a final score of 5-0, the Lady Tigers roster enjoyed some memorable highlights. Keeper Dakota Moberg received what very well may be one of the most effortless shutouts thanks to her back line teammates. Defensive back line players – Megan Murphy, Ashley Shaffer, Camryn Debian, and Annabella Watson – kept a tight defense throughout the game, making it impossible for the Lady Falcons to set up a goal.
The offensive side played just as well. Mia Calderon offered three assists and added a goal while Kaylin Lingus scored two goals. Murphy and Watson also added goals bringing the Tiger’s score to 5.
Check out their next regular season home game on December 15th when the Lady Tigers take the field against South Fork High School.
