Yavapai College volleyball player Abby Whatton earns All-Conference honors
PRESCOTT, Ariz. — The ACCAC postseason awards are here and after helping the Yavapai College volleyball team close its rollercoaster season with a victory, freshman outside hitter Abby Whatton聽earned Honorable-Mention All-Conference and All-Region honors for her efforts during the 2022 season.
During the season, Whatton led the Roughriders in kills (226) and kill-per-set (3.01). In addition, she added 171 digs and 32 blocks. In the conference, she placed eighth in total kills and sixth in kills-per-set.
Her highest single-game kill total came on October 26 at home against Eastern Arizona College when she tallied 18 kills against the Gila Monsters. In addition, she tallied double-digit kills in 11 of 21 games played by the Roughriders, including four-straight double-digit kill efforts to end the season.
