East Lincoln HS football team wraps up undefeated regular season
DENVER, N.C. — East Lincoln Mustangs in Denver, NC finished their perfect regular season 10-0 against rival North Lincoln. The final score was聽 28-7.
The Mustangs started the season ranked and a favorite to make a run for the State playoffs and have not disappointed. They start the playoffs ranked 4th in the 3A division and have outscored their opponents 418-47 this year.聽
Senior QB Tyler Mizzell finished the regular season with 26 TD鈥檚.
Markell Clark as his top receiver with 14 TD鈥檚 receiving and averaging 70.9 yards per game this season.
Close behind in passing is Keandre Walker with 61.3 yards per game. Top running back is sophomore Christopher Dailey who had a breakout season and averaged 106.4 yards per game.
Leading their defense is senior and WV Mountaineer commit Ben Cutter. Ben made himself known all over the field including punting but is the defense leader with 10-2 tackles per game and a constant threat on the defense side.聽
Coach David Lubowicz has the Mustangs rolling and they should make a deep run in playoffs.
