Hope College volleyball player Lauren Lee making a name for herself in MIAA
HOLLAND, Mich. — Hope volleyball setter Lauren Lee has been selected as MIAA Volleyball Specialty Athlete of the Week twice this season. The freshman from Plymouth (Ann Arbor Skyline HS) has just begun her college sports career, yet she has already set a new school record for the Flying Dutch.
Lee set a school record with 64 assists during a 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 21-25, 15-11 victory at No. 24-ranked Tufts University (Mass.) on Saturday, October 8.
She passed the previous Hope record for assists in a match using a 25-point set of 63 that Greer Bratschie accomplished both vs. Alma College on September 6, 2011, and vs. Elmhurst College (Ill.) on October 13, 2012.
