Get to know Red Bank HS volleyball player, Chattanooga area resident Sarah Anderson
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Sarah Anderson is a Sophomore at the Collegiate High School and plays Volleyball for Red Bank High School via a Co-Op Agreement.
Sarah is focused on her goals of scholarships for universities and participating in getting her team to State.聽Her biggest challenge fundamentally is serving the ball, however, she spends time practicing each day to get stronger to overcome this hurdle.
“Something I struggle with is regaining control of the ball and I am overcoming that by getting out of my head by doing a little, silly dance and getting back in the game,” says Sarah.
“The best advice I was ever given was from a Congressman during an interview I had the opportunity to attend when he said to ‘Pray a lot, and stay optimistic.'” says Sarah. A coach once told Sarah to “get aggressive” and that has stuck with her as she’s continued training.
Sarah loves being on a team and the camaraderie that comes with such an awesome group of girls. Sarah says, “I have learned that when you’re on a team, that there is no such thing as too much positive energy. We all enjoy cheering each other on during games and practices”
Outside of Volleyball, Sarah enjoys reading, drawing and spending time with friends.
