Lehigh Senior鈥檚 Richard Young leads as nation鈥檚 No. 1 RB
LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. (BVM) 鈥� Class of 2023 football player Richard Young has been bringing an ample amount of attention to Lehigh Senior High School. Young is ranked by as the No. 1 running back in the country and he鈥檚 verbally committed to the University of Alabama.
Young is in his senior season for the Lehigh Lightning and, so far, it鈥檚 one for the history books because of him. On September 9, the team played in a nationally televised game on the ESPN Network. It was an extremely rare opportunity for the team and even Lee County as a whole.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Young has received offers from over 50 DI schools including Recruiters really noticed the five-star RB’s dazzling junior season where he ran for 1,755 yards and scored 19 touchdowns on 196 carries in 10 games. He committed to the Crimson Tide shortly before the start of his senior season on July 29.听
