Riverdale Ridge HS announces new esports team
THORNTON, Colo. — Riverdale Ridge is rolling out another new sport this year. Esports! This is not your average sport.聽 Esports, short for “electronic sports”, is an organized competitive video game sport where individuals use video game consoles to play popular video games across multiple platforms.聽 As a school, we will be competing against other high schools in Colorado.聽 What game, you ask? “Super Smash Bros Ultimate.”聽 What console? Nintendo Switch. And your coach, Mr. Frye.
